Beautiful old house, which has been lovingly renovated by the host. He managed to create a very comfortable apartment, which provides lots of modern luxuries, while preserving the old character of the building as well. The ceiling was a little low in some places, which can be an issue for tall people, but such things can be expected with a historic building. The bed was extra large, so no problem there! Apartment is in Schiltigheim, which is basically an old town, but currently a suburb of Strasbourg. Host lended us e-bikes (without fee!). It is only a 10-15 min. ride to the cathedral of Strasbourg, in the city centre. Schiltigheim itself also has lots of nice restaurants, so you don’t have to use bike or car if you don’t want to. Host is provided lots of attentive extra’s and communication was very easy and good! There is a private parking spot on the premises. All in all we were very happy with our choice! Highly recommended!
